INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY CELEBRATED IN AUSIS

  International Mother Language Day is a special day for all the Bengali people. It is celebrated on the 21st of February. International Mother Language Day is observed every year to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.  International Mother Language Day was also held at Australian International School on the 22nd of February 2024. All the students were  dressed in black and white attire, to respect the martyrs and the people who sacrificed their lives for this day. Each student has brought bouquets of flowers to lay it infront of the Shahid Minar which was made by our art teacher, Ms Sanjida. The day started with our morning assembly followed by our National Anthem. then we paid tribute to the martyrs by placing flowers infront of the Shahid Minar . After the assembly, a couple of students were selected to give speeches on their own mother tongue to make people understand what the people were saying in Bangla for whom ever did not know how to

Base Camp Experience By Year 5

  Shanika,Ayser, Zulnain                                                                                                                                           28.2.24                               Base Camp Year 5 PYP                      We went to THE BASE CAMP BD  to learn to be independent and knowledgeable. We learned to take care of ourselves and be responsible of our resources . We upgraded outdoor skills as well as skill in taking care of ourselves in the right time  , also  making sure we take our medication or personal stuff on time. When we got on the bus we were waiting  for almost 3 hours it was a very long time , about 30 minutes in we were getting bored and we were in a huge traffic jam that almost took 20 minutes to get out the traffic jam. It was a very chaotic experience on the bus because everyone was screaming and singing and dancing We did a lot of fun activities in base camp. We  got to play football for 9 hours by taking breaks we did obstacles

Year 5 International Collaboration

               Year 5 has arranged an international collaboration on 24.08.2023 (Thursday) through Google Meet with the students of Year 5 of  JBCN  International School, Borivali, India. The duration of this collaboration was 30 minutes (1:25 pm- 2:00pm BD time).  The purpose of this collaboration was sharing the perspective. By sharing insights, perspectives and ideas, we can contribute to advancing the principles of national integration and communal harmony and language exchange. We have integrated this collaboration with our current unit 'past civilization'.  The birth anniversary of India's former Prime Minister , Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, on August 20, is commemorated annually as 'Sadbhavana Diwas' . The central theme of Sadbhavana revolves around the promotion of National Integration and Communal Harmony among people belonging to diverse religions, languages and regions.  The collaboration looked like- The students had a speech in English about 'Sadbhavana

PYP ANNUAL CONCERT 2022-2023

            Australian International School (AusIS) celebrated the Annual Concert in the school auditorium on 14 th March, 2023.   The celebration of Annual Concert provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and urges the teachers to put in their best. It is on this occasion that the children get a chance to step on to the stage and conquer their fear of speaking or performing in front of a large gathering.    This year, the concert theme was cultural timeline. The students of AusIS dressed up   with different cultures traditional costume and performed on the stage with mid- 1970s  to the early  1990s songs . Most of the countries cultures were displayed during the show mainly, Spanish, Korean, Asian, Nepali, Australian, Middle East, Italian, etc.     The chief guest was Md Khorshed Alam and our respected Chairman, Md.   PYP BOOK WEEK CELEBRATION 2023 Book week was celebrated in Australian International School (AusIS) from Sunday, February 12 to Thursday, February 16, 2023. This year the theme was “ Read, Grow and Inspire!” Book week is not only a celebration of books, but also of connection. This beloved program continues to grow and adapt each year with new resources, activities and celebration ideas. In addition, there was a week-long BOOK FAIR on the school premises where parents were also invited.
